Needless to say I was very unhappy to hear this! I belive my dad was taken advantge of because of his age and nice easy going personality! I do not have proff that all the things that were done really needed to be done, but on the other hand I do know there were some things that were done that was unnessary! I will continue to let everyone I know of this problem with Tire Kingdom! I am sending this e-mail out to everyone! And as for my dad he will not be visting Tire Kingdom again!

    2. Hi
I had my oil changed and presented them with a $21.99 coupon. This is the same coupon that I use every 6 -8months. This time I was told it could not be used because I was driving an SUV. My bill was $58.00!!!
Oh by the way, I was also informed that I needed $900 worth of repairs ($700 for 2 ball joints and $200 for and alignment)+ 2 windshield wiper blades (which I actually DO need) at $29.95 each. The wiper blades were $4.00 at NAPA.

    3. My wife paid $70.00 for the oil change. Plus tax. They did not even change out the oil filter. When she returned home with the 4 new "out of balanced" tires and oil change. I returned and had to baby sit and watch them change the oil again this time with filter and rebalance all 4 tires.

  4. I went to the NTB in Buford Georgia.
I was told it would take approx 45 min to an hour to get two tires. On the bill it plainly states I was there over 2 hours. I've never seen so many workers trying so hard doing absolutely nothing.
I was told I would have to have an alignment for the warranty on the tires. I assured the guy I had just had an alignment but nether the less, my alignment was checked.
While sitting in the waiting room an older lady asked if I had ever been there. I told her no and I wouldn't be back if I could ever get back to work. She had her car there for a brake check. NTB had serviced her brakes 4000 miles prior. The brakes were pulsating and she wanted it fixed. She was told it had been checked and nothing was wrong. I explained to the lady her problem sounded like warped rotors. I explained to her there is no way to "look" at a rotor and tell if it's warped. I am a trained auto technician, this wasn't just an educated guess. I think the guy was listening behind the wall. He appeared after a few seconds and told the lady that the rotors needed to be turned because of the pulsing in the pedal. If this would had been my Mother, I would had went off on the guy.
Never mind all the other falsehoods that I witnessed, people leaving after waiting an hour and their cars were never touched. I can say without any knowledge, these employees must be on an hourly wage. If they were commission mechanics as I was,, they wouldn't had taken so long to get anything accomplished.
Good luck NTB, you'll be doing without my personal or business repairs from now on.

  5. I just had my oil changed at NBT on Franklin Pke. in Nashville. This is the 3rd time and I go there because
there is no wait and I'm using a several dollars off coupon. The young man who gives the estimates and takes your money makes you feel as if he's doing you a favor to wait on you.He acts as if your the enemy. It's obvious why they do little business.

  6. Just had my front two tires put on at the chadds Ford ntb. After a few hours I realized that 4-5 packs of cigarettes were taken out of a carton that I keep in my van. Very upset you have to worry about hiding everything before you spend good money on work done to your vehicle. WATCH YOUR STUFF IF YOU GO THERE!!!!!!

  7. I went to NTB in Zanesville Ohio for a alignment on my 04 Audi...which the guy said be about an hr...about 1 1/2 hrs later I get a call that my Audi needed brakes (imagine a non Audi mechanic working on a Audi) I told them I had a Audi person to take care of the brakes...Little do they know I guess a Audi comes with all sorts of lights bells & whistles to allow you to get the proper maintence before anything major happens....so I go back to NTB to wait 3 more hrs. in a waiting room not design for females...and employees goofing around...I was NOT happy with how I was handled as a customer...I felt as if NTB wanted to take advantage of ONCE again a women....When my husband was alive we did service with NTB since 1996 and the last 3 times he was NOT happy with NTB peformance...I will NEVER have NTB touch 1 of my cars every again...I just went to Tire Discounters and got tires for my F150 trk...I was treated wonderfully...

  8. Service was horrible when I took my car on Friday, March 29,2013. I arrived at 9:30 to get a new set of tires that was ordered the day before. I got waited on at 10:30. I stood in line for one hour before anyone asked if they could help me. It gets worse. I waited an addtional two hours to get my tires put on. I checked several times and it seemed like the guys were smoking alot and one guy was down in his back. I will never go back again to Tire Kingdom!!! This is how I spent a holiday off away form work, never again!!!!

  9. Tire Kingdom in Brunswick, GA...May 2013...My elderly mother and I were traveling, had a tire going down. Had it not been for Tire Kingdom, we'd have been stuck on I-95 for who knows how long. They replaced the tire, which had a screw in it. The price was reasonable - actually less than we had just paid for another new tire from our local dealership in TN. The wait wasn't long, staff friendly, work was done for less than $100. We were out and on our way in short order. Thank-you Brunswick, GA Tire Kingdom.

  10. I was given a car that had recently had a new battery and Re-Manu alternator. This was done on 6-30-13. I got the car on 7-05-13. I went on a road trip on 7-13-13 and was forced to get off of freeway because the battery was shutting down. I was stranded in a small town in Texas where everyone closed at 12noon. I was fortunate to have a real mechanic come along to help me. The main wire had not been connected to the alternator so the car had been running on just the battery for 13 days. I am a female alone and I could have been in a very dangerous situation. the men responsible are Leouigildo Lopez and Steve Costello. I believe someone should have a serious talk with these two men. This happened in southeast Texas in the Clear Lake area. I will be waiting for a reply

  11. Was delighted when I saw a new TK being built within a mile of my house. Took car twice, both times well over an hour for an oil change. Today the technician drained the oil and then ran around the shop for 20 minutes doing someting else. I was going to just let it play out to see how long it took. Then he goes out and pulls in anohter vehicle to work on. Tire rotation NOT on service schedule for my vehicle, done anyway. LAST time I go to this or any TK.

  12. On 8/18/12 I bought 2 tires for my sons car,in the deal I also got the wheel alignment program, total cost $458.19
today i took the car in to have the alignment checked, we left the car and later the man called us to say we needed 4 new tires, our power steering was almost empty and the tires were worn out because they were dangerously low. I know this is bullshit because my son & I change the oil and filters, check the fluids and air pressures on a regular basis. We went back to pick up the car and he started again. I told him to give us the keys so we could leave and that he was a thief and I don't deal with thieves. I will never do business with Tire Kingdom ever again.

  13. 04/03/2014 Saint Cloud Florida Tire Kingdom. Store # 6216. Service Manager Matthew Skundrich and Steve Orr Area Group Manager. Steve Orr went and hid when I came back upset, to say the least! Why they employ Steve or Matthew I do not know? They pay you Steve Orr to go and hide when you get caught red handed ripping off a customer?? And service manager Matthew Skundrich... As I told you. Being self employed myself. I am responsible for what my crew does. As are you. Your job is to over see and make sure no corners are being cut. That your costumer's are getting what they paid for. Not ripped off on parts or service paid. After my wife spending nearly $800.00 at Tire Kingdom of Saint Cloud Florida. Store number 6216.. We had dropped off her truck together. Bought 4 new tires to be mounted AND balanced. A wheel alignment and $70.00 oil change with filter. I have never in my life paid another to change oil in any of our cars or trucks. This was the first and last! Dropped off wife's truck and picked it up 3 hours after. Get home and wife says to me to please drive it. That it does not feel right. First I open the hood and say to my wife" did you not pay $70.00 sum to get a oil change"? Yes, she replies. Well it still has the same oil filter on it from last time I gave it a oil change. I test drive it and at 50-55 it rides like a hay wagon. I drive straight to Saint Cloud Florida Tire Kingdom on my Saturday,to get things done right. That they had been paid to do right the first time. They did not want to remove the skid plate to change out the oil filter. So they did not change the oil filter. To make it simple for the women to understand. It would be like doing laundry in the old dirty water from loads gone by. You just do not do it!! If it was just my wife, they would have got away with this. This is theft! Not to mention my wife paid almost $75.00 just in a oil change. Because it is important to maintain clean oil in the engine. And they do this! Jeopardizing the running of our truck! I think this is outright thief to the customer! How many have they done this to? I did my best to embarrass Matthew Skundrich In front on new customer's in the front office! To let them know that they do not balance tires correct AND DO NOT install new oil filters. Even on the most costly oil change that they offer! I watched them this time. Like watching a child to make sure that they do it correct. Pretty bad when one has to baby sit them, but you do.. Again this is Steve's job of that snake Steve Orr Area Group Manager. Steve said a weight may have fallen off a wheel. I let them know if they fall off in the first 30 miles that they are doing something wrong! Turns out all 4 tires had been badly out of balance. I guess this way the tires do not last and they hope for repeat customers. Hell NO! Never again will I go to Tire Kingdom of Saint Cloud Fl. And then the dummy would not pick the rocks out of the new tread while he rebalanced the wheel. I pointed this out to some short biker dude and he explained that they are only balancing the wheel, not the tire. I just shook my head in disbelief. You balance it as a assembly you dumb ass! Do NOT go to TIRE KINGDOM of Saint Cloud Florida. Store # 6216 If you or I ripped off a oil filter we would be jailed. It was not just a mistake by them. The worker did not want to spend 3 minutes to remove a plastic skid plate to get to the oil filter. And also did not put any effort into balancing the tires. He may have just mounted them on the wheels and never even hung them on the balance machine?

  14. I was taken advantage of by the Tire Kingdom in Boca Raton, FL. I went on my honeymoon as soon as we came off the boat and got in our car our alternator went out and we went to Tire Kingdom. We arrived at 8:36 we finally left at 3:15. This was after 4 alternators had to be delivered because they had no idea what kind or alternator my car needed. When we arrived our bill was right at 430 for an alternator then we called and had our warranty company to call and pay and the price went to over 986 dollars for an alternator that was a refurbished alternator. We had no option we had to have it fixed. While they are trying to put the alternator in my car they did not use the blankets to cover my car and scratched the car horribly. They also didn't unplug the battery and caused a short in the wires and my top will not open. I called the customer service line and complained and was blown off by everyone that I spoke to. I came back home which is in North carolina and took the bill and got the exact same service estimated at 300 at the Tire Kingdom in North Carolina and 250 at another small shop. They have not handled this customer like they cared at all. I was taken advantage of. My family is a long time customer of Tire Kingdom in North Carolina but after this no more !

  15. I took my mother's tire in to get road hazard warranty repair or replacement. The tires were bought 5 years ago but have deep tread as she is only in the US for 6 months of the year. The tread is deep and obviously shows that it's not worn out. It has a groove on the inside shoulder caused by the laminations shifting and therefore causing the split in the rubber. Obviously a manufacturing defect. The manager told me that because the tire was 5 years old and because my mom only paid half price on a special promotion that he would not honor the warranty. I ask him to show me the language in the contract that nullified the warranty based on years since the purchase. He said he did not have any contract literature! Talk about insulting my intelligence! He couldn't show me the language in the contract to support his argument so he said he didn't have any to show me. Later I found out it was printed on the back of my mom's receipt. What a effing liar! Then I asked if I could get the tires rotated since the whole garage was totally empty and he responded that he could not because he had some customers coming in with appointments. A 10 minute job! This was the Tire Kingdom on Brigatine off of Gatlin blvd in Port St. Lucie, FL
